Hinsdale Climbs Above 0
The mercury hit 3 degrees Tuesday afternoon but wind chills are still down around -14.
Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills are experiencing positive temperatures for the first time in nearly 40 hours as the mercury climbed to 3 above zero shortly before 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
Though the wind chill is 14 below zero, the current forecast calls for a low of -1 tonight, but no other sub zero temperatures over the next seven days. The expected high Friday is 37 degrees.
Schools and other organizations are expected to be open Wednesday.
