Hinsdale Boy on National TV Again After 2nd NFL PP&K Title

Luke Adams was on national TV again Sunday night after winning the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick title.

You might have seen a familiar face if you were watching CBS between the third and fourth quarters of Sunday evening's Denver Broncos-San Diego Chargers AFC Divisional Playoff game.

Hinsdale's Luke Adams was honored on national television for the second time in three years after he once again finished first nationally in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition, held this year in Denver.

Adams, 9, won the 8- to 9-year-old division this year after winning the 6- to 7-year-old division two years ago. He punted, passed and kicked a combine 287.11 feet, beating out the second-place finisher by nearly 9 feet and the third-place finisher by more than 13 feet.

The third-grader covered 223 feet during his first-place finish two years ago. Chicago Bears chairman George McCaskey made a surprise visit to Madison School to congratulate Adams after his first title.
