“Pork and Pioneer” Patio Pig Roast at Bakersfield

Whole Roasted Pig with Fixin’s, Pioneer Cabernet, Live Music and More

$30 per person


Bakersfield restaurant will hold a “Pork and Pioneer” pig roast on
their sprawling patio on Saturday, October 12. From 5-8 p.m., Executive
Chef Patrick Cassata will feature a whole roasted pig, along with an
array of side dishes, while live music is provided by the Windy City Rev
Ups. The unlimited sampling menu is $30 per person.

Guests are encouraged to pair the pig roast meal with Pioneer
Cabernet Sauvignon, created by Standard Market in collaboration with the
Barra family winery of Mendocino, for $7 per glass. Additional beverage
specials, available all day, include “Patio Pounder” cocktails for $7
(Maple Bourbon Smash; Autumn Gin Blossom; Cajun Mai Tai) and $4 craft
brews on tap.


Reservations are encouraged and seating is communal. Please call

Standard Market’s Pioneer Cabernet Sauvignon was created in
collaboration with the Barra family winery of Mendocino County,
California. Available exclusively at Standard Market, Standard Market
Grill and Bakersfield restaurant, this velvety blend (80% Cabernet
Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 5% old vine Petite Sirah) showcases flavors of
sweet red fruits and cloves framed with spicy, sweet oak and a touch of
vanilla.  The name “Pioneer” pays homage to winemaker and farmer Charlie
Barra, a pioneer in the California wine industry, and also represents
Standard Market, a pioneer in food retail and restaurants that source
from within.
