Join us on Tuesday, February 12 at 11:30 for a big
band memories luncheon at The Community House.
Local bandleader Steve Cooper will present a program of rare films and videos of the greatest big bands of all-time.
You’ll see and hear the great bands of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Lawrence Welk and many others. In
addition, you’ll see rare film clips of the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Steven has many fascinating “behind the
scenes” stories about the bands because he’s played with many of them, including Bob Crosby and Sammy Kaye. His big band has played at the Willowbrook Ballroom for over 32 years. Before the program we’ll enjoy a hot buffet lunch.
