The Clarendon Hills Park District will present its popular babysitting class for tweens and teens ages 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Community Center, 315 Chicago Avenue. This American Red Cross course combines video instruction, training and hands on activities and discussion as a "boot camp" for future babysitters. Students focus in on infant and child care, recognizing safety and hygiene issues, communications with parents, first aid and handling emergencies. There is a $75.00 resident fee ($94.00 non-resident fee) to participate in this program. All participants will receive a certificate upon the successful completion of this class. Advance registration is required at the Community Center. All class members are encouraged to bring a sack lunch and beverage to the full day class.
