On Monday, January 13th at 7 pm, the Clarendon Hills Library welcomes author, journalist and lifelong Chicagoan Daniel P. Smith who will take us into the closed-door society that is the Chicago Police Department.  Smith's book On the Job: Behind the Stars of the Chicago Police Department, describes never-before-told stories of the toll the job exacts on the officers and their lives, while interweaving a discussion of Chicago's criminal landscape, police department culture and history.  Join us for an evening with the author.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
