Clarendon Hills Library Celebrates 50th Birthday: "Dancin' in the Stacks"

On December 1st of 1963, the Clarendon Hills Library, then housed in a small ranch house at 7 North Prospect Avenue, first opened its doors.  On Friday, November 15th 2013, the staff and Board of Trustees of the Library invite all residents to celebrate at "Dancin' in the Stacks," a party to commemorate this milestone birthday.

From 6:00 to 8:30 pm the library will celebrate 50 years of service to the community with food, live music, face-painting, balloons and fun for everyone.

Johnny Rogers' "Buddy & Beyond Show," a tribute to Buddy Holly and other musicians of the 50s and 60s will entertain, and there will be activities for children, refreshments, and some special guests as well.

This event is limited to the first 200 people to sign up.  Those interested may register at www.clarendonhillslibrary.org or call the library at 630-323-8188.
