Week in Review: 'Dangerous' Spot Becomes Four-Way Stop, Central Construction on Schedule

1. : Hinsdale Village President Tom Cauley said that the intersection of 8th and Monroe streets is known as one of the most dangerous in Hinsdale.

2. : District 86's contractor updated the school board on the 2012 capital improvements projects and said they should be completed in time for the start of school on Aug. 22.

3. : As opposed to the Newsweek "America's Best High Schools" list, the Post's criteria is more focused on the "level of a high school’s commitment to preparing average students for college."

4. : Patrick Williams, a recent graduate of St. Ignatius, is operating the shaved ice shop until July 28; all profits are going towards clean water in developing countries.
