Wednesday's Morning Report: Lions Park Pool Changes to Be Presented

Get over the hump this week with these important items from Patch.

1. The Clarendon Hills Park District is hosting an open house Wednesday night at the Park District Community Center, 315 Chicago Ave., to explain the new amenities on the way to the Lions Park Pool. 2. Skies will be mostly cloudy during the day Wednesday and the high temperature will reach 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 20 percent chance of rain after noon. Wednesday night, that precipitation chance will rise to 30 percent as clouds stick around and the low dips to 37 degrees.

3. The Hinsdale Public Library is screening the documentary The Finland Phenomenon: Inside the World's Most Surprising School System Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. The 60-minute film delves into "the world’s finest secondary education system," according to the event's Patch listing, which contains all the info you need to know.

4. This morning on Patch is a look back at Tuesday night's Clarendon Hills Village Board meeting, at which trustees approved an ordinance that will install a local property tax cap if home rule is attained by referendum on March 20.  

5. Wednesday in Hinsdale Central Red Devils sports: Boys Track, Hinsdale Central Quad, 4:30 p.m.; Boys Basketball at Downers Grove South, 7:30 p.m.
