Tuesday's Morning Report: Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills Boards to Meet

Get your short, post-holiday week started right with these important items from Patch.

1. Both the Village of Hinsdale Board of Trustees and the Clarendon Hills Village Board are in action Tuesday night. The Hinsdale meeting at Memorial Hall gets going at 7:30 p.m. and its agenda can be found here. The Clarendon Hills meeting at Village Hall begins at 7 p.m. and its agenda can be found here

2. Rain and snow are likely before noon Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, and the high temperature will reach 43 degrees. Wind gusts will reach 30 mph. Tuesday night, skies will be mostly cloudy and the low will dip to 31 degrees.

3. The Hinsdale Central music program is putting on its fifth annual Mardi Gras fundraiser concert Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the school's cafeteria. The music program has partnered with Schools Count Corp., a program that serves students in needy schools all over. Tuesday's concert will raise money for Chalmers Elementary School in Chicago, which has a music teacher but no instruments. See this Patch announcement for more info.

4. This morning on Patch is a quick piece on the decision by Hinsdale Fire Chief Michael Kelly to leave Hinsdale for Bartlett after nearly 24 years of service.
