TMZ: Missy Elliott Files Suit Against Westmont Lamborghini Dealer

The rapper says she agreed to pay the dealership $376,000 for a 2012 Aventador, but never received the car.

Nothing like a national tabloid story with a little local flavor.

TMZ is reporting that Rapper Missy Elliott has filed a lawsuit against Fox Valley Motor Cars after a dispute over the price of a Lamborghini Elliott planned to purchase from Westmont's Lamborghini Chicago for more than $375,000.

Elliott claimed in her lawsuit, which TMZ says was filed in Florida, that she agreed in 2011 to buy a 2012 Matte White Lamborghini Aventador for $376,000. She was going to trade in her $85,000 Bentley along with an additional $30,000 as a down payment in order to get the Lambo by mid-2012. TMZ says the lawsuit alleges she never received the car.

"Missy says she contacted Fox Valley for an explanation—and was told the terms of the deal had changed because the market value of the car had risen," the TMZ story reads.

Lamborghini Chicago, which is located only a few blocks away from the Clarendon Hills-Westmont border at 209 E. Ogden Ave., had no comment for Patch on the lawsuit Tuesday afternoon. TMZ said the dealership did not return its calls.

The lawsuit says Fox Valley refused to deliver the Lamborghini for the sale price, demanding more for the car.

TMZ says Elliott's suit seeks the car in question, plus money in damages resulting from a breach of contract.
