Temps to Approach 100 Degrees: Tuesday's Morning Report

A photo contest put on by Vern Goers Greenhouse and a Parent-Tot Gymnastics class at The Community House are among the things you should know about for July 3.

1. Skies will be mostly sunny and temperatures will be hot Tuesday, with the high reaching 98 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. A nice breeze will blow up to 20 mph. Tuesday night, skies will be partly cloudy and the low will fall to 76 degrees.

2.  is holding a Customer Container Photo Contest that will see three winning customers get prizes. "Do you have a garden you like to show off at parties and brag about to friends? Or maybe your containers look amazing this year. Well, take a photo of your work and you could win some great prizes from Vern Goers Greenhouse!"  reads. Participants can submit during July; voting begins in August.

3.  is hosting Parent-Tot Gymnastics Tuesday at 10:30 a.m."Enroll your toddler in this action-packed gymnastics class," reads. "Activities are designed to help each child develop balance, coordination, beginning social skills, and have fun!" Enrollment costs $70.
