Metra Releases Updated Train Schedule for Thursday Evening Commute

Metra released an updated train schedule shortly before noon on Thursday. The rail service provider had been forced to cancel trains and combine others during the morning commute. Metra spokesperson Meg Reile said the cancellations had to do with crew availability.

"We developed the schedule [Wednesday night] with the staffing we were able to achieve, but now that we're done with the morning rush, we are working on going back to a normal schedule or adding trains to accomodate people going home," said Reile.
