Heat Continues Saturday; Cooler Temps Arrive Sunday: Weekend Weather

Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills will finally get some relief from scorching temperatures this weekend, but not until Sunday.

Here's your weekend forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service:

Saturday

Skies will be mostly sunny during the day Saturday and the heat will continue, with a high temperature of 98 and heat index values as high as 104 expected. There's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Winds will blow between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday night, the 20 percent chance of precipitation sticks around under mostly cloudy skies. The low is expected to bottom out at 71 degrees and winds will blow between 10 and 15 mph.

Sunday

Finally, temperatures in the 80s! Skies will be mostly sunny during the day Sunday and the high will reach a very tolerable 82 degrees. There's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, and wind gusts will reach 20 mph.

Sunday night, partly cloudy skies and a low of 65 degrees are expected.
