Five Things You Should Know for Wednesday, June 29

Hump Day is here; the three-day holiday weekend will soon be in sight.

1.  Don't want to jinx it, but it looks like the sunshine and comfortable temps are going to continue Wednesday. Weather.com is forecasting sunny skies a zero percent chance of precipitation during the day; the high temperature will be 79 degrees. Overnight, temps will drop to the low 60s, but skies will stay clear and precipitation chances are low.

2. Sounds like the perfect forecast for the first Dancin' in the Street concert in Clarendon Hills. Tunes will be courtesy of modern/pop group Green Thirteen and the grub will be provided by Village Gourmet. The weekly tradition was supposed to start last week, but it was cancelled due to the effects of the June 21 storm.

3. A couple of big items (for very different reasons) up on Patch Wednesday morning: includes a 17-year-old charged with criminal sexual abuse; columnist Kristi Gilbert looks forward to the Fourth of July in her latest "New Mom in Town" column
