Five Things You Should Know for Tuesday, June 14

Two notable court cases and some comfortable weather will make for a memorable Flag Day in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills.

1. Former Clarendon Hills police officer Daniel Ryan will make his first court appearance at the DuPage County Courthouse since from the evidence room. He is scheduled for a 9 a.m. hearing in Courtroom 4010.

2. Later Tuesday morning at the county courthouse, Board of Education member Dianne Barrett will return to court for a hearing in . Barrett has a 10:30 a.m. appointment in Courtroom 2010.

3. After a pleasant Monday weather-wise, it will be more of the same Tuesday. Weather.com is forecasting mostly cloudy skies for most of the day with a high of 74 degrees and a 20 percent chance of precipitation. In the evening there's a 50 percent chance of precipitation and the overnight low is 58 degrees.

4. There are three Village of Hinsdale meetings Tuesday: a meeting of the Downtown Task Force at 8 a.m. at , 25 E. Chicago Ave.; a meeting of the Firefighter's Pension Board at 9:30 a.m. at the , 121 Symonds Dr.; and a meeting of the Historic Preservation Committee at 5 p.m. at . 

5. June 14 is Flag Day in the United States, so salute those Stars and Stripes when you pass them by Tuesday.
