Five Things You Should Know for Thursday, June 23

Patch has the must-know items to get you through Thursday and towards the weekend.

1. Here's hoping your Wednesday wasn't as rough as Patch columnist Kristi Gilbert's. (See her column .) On Thursday, expect cleanup crews to continue picking up downed trees and branches after Tuesday night's storm. ComEd will continue working on getting power back for those residents still without it. 2. Thursday isn't expected to be the most pleasant day, weather-wise. Weather.com forecasted overcast skies and a high of 66 degrees during the day with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. The overnight low is 58 degrees.

3. Since the first Dancin' in the Street of 2011 was canceled Wednesday night in Clarendon Hills, be sure to make it out to the second Uniquely Thursday in Hinsdale Thursday night. Music will be provided by Local Favorite, who is described by the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce as a "rockin' little six piece band featuring Fleetwood Mac, Sugarland, Eagles and more."

4. Last call for cheap literature. The Daisy Days Book Sale wraps up Thursday at the Clarendon Hills Public Library.  

5. QT, 16 W. Hinsdale Ave., is having a 20 percent sale on Colonial Candles during June. It couldn't come at a better time for those without electricity.
