Five Things You Should Know for Friday, June 3

Here are a few things to be aware of in the Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills area as the week wraps up.

1. After 's Class of 2011 graduated Thursday night, it's 's turn. The Hornets commencement begins at 7 p.m. Friday night at the school's football stadium, weather permitting.

2. Weather should permit Friday as it did for the Red Devils Thursday. Weather.com is forecasting partly cloudy skies throughout the day with a high of 90 degrees and a 10 percent chance of precipitation. By 9 p.m. temps are expected to be at 79 degrees.

3. Great weather is also good news for the Hinsdale Central girls lacrosse team, who will play in the Illinois High School Womens Lacrosse Assocation state final Friday night at 7 p.m. The Red Devils will go up against Loyola Academy at Northwestern University in Evanston. in the semifinals.

4. State Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale) will be on the line for a conference call with media members Friday at noon along with State Sens. Chris Lauzen (R-Aurora) and Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove). Patch plans on listening in.

5. Friday is the day to check out Julie Kallas' profile of District 181 music teacher Nelle Robinson, who's retiring at the end of the current school year after 41 years of service.
