Five Things You Should Know for Friday, June 17

The weekend has arrived; here's what you need to know.

1. One day after Hinsdale's Uniquely Thursday summer concert series kicked off, another area tradition, Clarendon Hills' weekend, gets going Friday in downtown Clarendon Hills. Rides and food will be available form 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Activities run from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and the Daisy Dash takes place Sunday morning.

2. Weather.com is forecasting a sunny morning and early afternoon and a possibly wet and stormy late afternoon and evening Friday. The high temperature will be 78 degrees and there's a 50 percent chance of precipitation. Overnight, that chance of rain goes up to 60 percent and temps will fall to the mid-60s.  

3. The is holding a docent training day for folks who want to host tours at the Hinsdale History Museum. The training runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the museum, 15 S. Clay St.

4. Christmas might be the furthest thing from your mind on June 17, but Patch has with how the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce moved the date of the annual Christmas Walk downtown.

5. If, for some reason, Friday's schedule is more open for Pops than Sunday, June 17 is Father's Day in Guatemala and El Salvador.
