Gas is $3.84 a gallon at one gas station in Hinsdale: 10 years ago that might have been humorously high; today it's don't-forget-your-lawn-mower-gas-can low.

• $3.91—Mobil, 5802-03 Tri-State Toll Rd. (Hinsdale Oasis)

The Illinois average is $3.77 ($3.90 on June 20) and the national average is $3.58 ($3.65 on June 20).
