D86 Board Holding Special Meeting: Monday's Morning Report

Temperatures in the upper 80s and an update on the Vern Goers Greenhouse photo contest are also among the things you should know about for July 30.

1. The Board of Education meets Monday night for a closed session self-evaluation and open-session discussion of the district's goals going forward. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the administrative center's conference room. See the full agenda here.

2. Skies will be partly sunny Monday and the high will reach 89 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Monday night, partly cloudy skies and a low of 72 are expected.

3. Monday is the second-to-last day that customers can enter into the Customer Container Photo Contest. "Voting will take place during the month of August," reads. "Be sure to stop by with a photo of your garden or containers to have a chance to win one of three great prizes!" See the listing for more details on how to enter.
