Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists of Hinsdale Welcomes New Certified Orthopeadic Specialist/Physical Therapist & Front Desk Coordinator To The Team

Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists of Hinsdale (PTRS Hinsdale) is dedicated to providing our community with the most-patient focused and one-on-one care you deserve. To better meet your needs, the practice is excited to welcome the addition of 2 new team members: Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Orthopeadic Specialist Kathryn Nicholson, DPT, OCS and Front Desk Coordinator Carol Florino.

Katie, Physical Therapist, exerts energy in everything she does and is dedicated to providing her patients with a positive experience, making therapy fun. She holds experience treating a variety of conditions including orthopeadic, post-operative, and work-related injuries/diagnoses. To best serve her patients, she has completed extensive independent studies to become a Certified Orthopaedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Becoming a physical therapist has always been a life-long dream for Katie. Although her passion lies in orthopaedic diagnoses, she also enjoys providing balance and fall prevention services. Katie’s goal is to get to know each one of her patients, so she can incorporate their wants and needs into their treatment. Making a difference in people’s lives, giving them hope, and showing that recovery is possible is the most rewarding experience to her.

Carol, Front Desk Coordinator, is dedicated to providing the practice’s patients with the best guest experience. Prior to joining the PTRS Hinsdale team, she worked as an EMT and paramedic for 37 years, as well as the front desk for a cancer treatment center. Carol’s personal goal is to make each patient’s day wonderful. She is dedicated to making sure everything smoothly from scheduling the first appointment to answering questions on benefit coverage.

Susan Trchka, PT, Clinic Director and Physical Therapist is thrilled to have new members on the team.  “We’re excited to welcome both Katie and Carol to our crown jewel physical therapy practice. Their wealth of experience in patient services will further compliment the extraordinary care that we strive to provide our patients. They are both truly patient-focused, and are dedicated to getting you back to doing the things you love most after surgery or an injury occurs,” stated Trchka.
