New Year's Eve Events in Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills

Area restaurants have something for everyone as we ring in 2012, even kids.

If you're still without a New Year's Eve party for Saturday night, fear not. Patch has rounded up the plans of restaurants in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills for the special night so you can ring in 2012 right.

On its final night of service before closing its doors Jan. 1,  will serve a five-course New Year's dinner Saturday night, complete with champagne, for $75 per person.

Among the first-course options will be a smoked salmon ravioli with dill crème fraich and a bacon-wrapped breast of quail with quail egg, crisp potato, and apple-celery root salad and thyme jus.

Asparagus soup with shrimp and lemon better as well as a brie en croute salad with zante currants, mixed field greens, walnuts, and champagne vinaigrette are the second-course options.

Main-course options include roasted duck breast, Amish chicken breast, pan-roasted scallops, and smoked beef tenderloin. 

Available desserts include a warm white and dark chocolate tart, peanut butter bombe, and a caramelized fuji apple.

Zak's Place

For $65, guests to on New Year's Eve will get a four-course meal, beginning with a soup/salad course that includes options like lobster bisque and duck salad.

Second-course options include a roasted scallop and a truffle tremor cheese ravioli. 

Main courses include a bone-in New York strip and grilled salmon, while the featured dessert is a sample of the restaurant's favorites.  

At 10 p.m., live music from Walnuts for Later will begin. There is no cover charge for entry. Complimentary champagne will be distributed at midnight. 

Il Poggiolo

8 E. 1st St., Hinsdale

For the young (and young at heart), is holding a kids New Year's celebration beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday and ending with a countdown at 7 p.m. A set menu, which has yet to be finalized, will be featured. The event will cost $35 for adults and $15 for kids.

After 7 p.m., the restaurant's regular menu will be featured and the place will stay open through midnight, when a free champagne toast will be held.

Scapa

's full menu will be featured Saturday, complete with New Year's Eve specials. There will be live music from Paint Life New and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. 

Snacks and party favors will be included, as well.

Nabuki

18 E. 1st St., Hinsdale

Nabuki will be serving specialty rolls and specialty drinks Saturday night. Food will be served from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., but the bar will stay open into the new year. A complimentary champagne toast will be held.

Redd Herring

31 S. Prospect Ave., Clarendon Hills

Guests on Saturday can order off of Redd Herring's regular menu, which will feature ribeye and lobster specials beginning at 4 p.m. There will also be specials on bottles of champagne and the bar will stay open through the new year.
