Village Announces Parade, Events Schedule for July 4

Parade and events schedule for Friday, July 4.


The Village of Hinsdale has a robust day of events scheduled for the Fourth of July, starting with the Independence Day Parade.

Organizations, groups and yes, political candidates, have until June 13 to complete their applications to march in the parade, that steps off from Sixth Street and Garfield at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4.

The fee for participating in the parade is free to community groups, scout troops, churches, families and non-profit organizations. The marching fee for political candidates and business is $150. Visit the village parks and recreation website to download the parade entry form.

After the parade, head over to Burlington Park at 19 E. Chicago Ave. for the Family Festival for the arts and crafts show featuring over 100 vendors, along with kids’ activities and the Hinsdale Rotary turtle races. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The Family Fest kicks off at 11 a.m.

Then sit back for a patriotic concert presented by the West Suburban Concert Band at 1 p.m.
