SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: New Invaders Bring British Invasion to Downtown Downers Grove

The New Invaders invade the stage in downtown Downers Grove covering the hits of the 1960's in tonight's summer concert sponsored by the park district.


Downers Grove Park District’s summer concert series continues tonight (Tuesday, June 17) with the New Invaders, who’ll bring their ultimate ‘60s flashback show to at Fishel Park, at 1036 Grove St., (just west of Main Street), in the heart of downtown Downers Grove.

The New Invaders play everything from “Brit Rock to Woodstock” in a powerfully packed theatrical show reprising the classic songs ranging from Badfinger and the Kings to Canned Heat and Blood, Sweat and Tears. This polished, classic-rock tribute band's repertoire expands over 80 groups.

Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue. For weather updates, call (630) 963-0575 after 5:30 p.m.
