Slippery Conditions, Six Inches of Snow Expected Tonight

A winter storm watch has been issued for DuPage County with heavy, wet snow starting tonight and lasting until Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, we are expecting four to six inches of snow in the Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills area tonight.

The NWS said the storm will be moving from Rockford toward the Chicago area, causing rain to start this afternoon and turn into wet, heavy snow tonight. Several inches are expected along and north of the Interstate 80 corridor. Weather.com said the most accumulation is expeted in DuPage County.

The heaviest snow is expected overnight, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Weather.com predicts snow will fall at a rate of an inch an hour after 8 p.m. tonight. Strong winds are also expected to reduce visibility during this time.

These conditions are expected to continue until Friday morning.

Congratulations to Dr. Jane Dillon, who as her patient while in private practice, I have known to beRead More a caring, skilled, and excellent doctor when I had serious medical problems related to my ears. While her new position will help many, I personally will miss her being in private practice.
