Patch Picks: Hair Salons and Stylists

As the weather warms up, you can visit these five places to get a summer trim.

No matter what you're looking for, one of these area hairstylists will have what you need.

1. , 8 W. Hinsdale Ave., Hinsdale

The Hinsdale Barber Shop is a family-owned shop that has been a Hinsdale institution for nearly 40 years. The shop welcomes walk-ins, and is perfect for the whole family as they cater to men, women and children.

2. , 151 Ann St., Clarendon Hills

Salon owner Buke and her team are professionals in all aspects of the salon business, but hair remains a major component of their Clarendon Hills salon. Stylists can also do hair for special events like weddings or school dances.

3. , 18 E. Hinsdale Ave., Hinsdale

Although Zazu has a variety of skilled stylists on hand, one of their most unique features is their Academy Day. Junior stylists offer haircuts at discounted rates; a women's haircut and style is $20, as opposed to the regular rate of $40. 

4. , 26 E Hinsdale Ave., Hinsdale

James Joseph is an experienced stylist who studied hairstyling under Vidal Sassoon in London. When he opened his first salon in Chicagoland in 1974, Joseph was one of the first stylists to specialize in cut and color. His Hinsdale salon was voted Salon of the Year by Salon Today in 2009.

5. , 777 N. York Rd., Hinsdale

i Design's co-owners Terry Abraham and Anthony Tuzzolino have more than 30 years of hairstyling experience between them. Terry is a third generation stylist, and Anthony graduated from Hair Professionals in Wheaton. Their unique hair system complements each client's individuality and personality.
