Burgers are a favorite for all ages. Check out one of these local spots for Patch's favorite burgers: 

1. , 241 55th St., Clarendon Hills

The casual Clarendon Hills spot has long been a favorite for burger lovers. Country House's Country Burger has won a variety of awards, including West Suburban Living's Readers' Choice Best Burger in 2009. The half-pound burger is served on dark rye with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and coleslaw and costs $8.99. 

2. , 112 S. Washington St., Hinsdale

Zak's is another local spot with some major accolades; its burger was named No. 16 on Chicago Magazine's list of the 30 best burgers in Chicagoland in 2009. The $10 Zak's Burger is made from 10 oz. of Angus beef, and can be topped with maple wood bacon for an additional $2. 

3. , Burr Ridge Village Center 

Cooper's Hawk offers variety to customers looking for a burger fix. For the traditionalist, Cooper's Hawk offers the $10.49 Classic Cheeseburger, which features angus beef, seasoned mayo and crispy onion strings. Or for a more unique take, try the $9.99 Zin Burger, featuring Gruyere cheese, garlic mayo, and sweet onions braised in Cooper's Hawk's own zinfandel. All six burgers on Cooper's Hawk's menu can also be made as a turkey burger. 

4. , 78 Burr Ridge Pkwy., Burr Ridge

This breakfast and lunch spot also offers alternatives to the classic burger. Moondance's $9 "Moo" Burger can be topped with jack, cheddar, Swiss, or Dofino cheese, and customers can choose a side of sweet potato chips. The Guiltless Burger, an $8.69 turkey burger, is topped with avocado and served with fresh fruit. 

5. , 50 S. Garfield St., Hinsdale

Dips & Dogs' old-fashioned and casual atmosphere is perfect for summer dining with kids. Menu items are under $10, and include classic cheeseburgers and hamburgers in addition to bacon cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers. Dips & Dogs burgers can be accompanied by French fries, onion rings, or cool treats like milkshakes and parfaits.
