Nabuki is casual during the day, but at night it takes on a bar-like atmosphere. The front of the restaurant makes up the bar area, where patrons can enjoy cocktails along with their sushi. Chef Juan Perez's signature sushi rolls, like the Red Devil, and appetizers like Pork Dumplings are the perfect choice to share with your date.
4. , 8 E. First St., Hinsdale
Just down the street from Nabuki, Il Poggiolo is another elegant but relaxed place to have a dinner date. The open balcony on the restaurant's second floor gives the best view, but the first floor has close proximity to the extensive bar. Make sure to come on a Tuesday night; Il Poggiolo's "$9 Tini Tuesday" special serves up $9 martinis all night long.
5. , 27 S. Prospect St., Clarendon Hills
Not all dates have to be centered on dinner. All Wined Up is a casual wine bar that offers free wine tastings on Thursdays. Patrons can also drop in for an informal drink, or come for All Wined Up's regular live music performances. This Saturday, local singer and guitarist Adam Schilling will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
