Patch Editor Says Goodbye

Wednesday is Joe O'Donnell's last day at a job he will always remember fondly.

Dear Patch Readers,

I wanted to drop a very brief line to let you all know that Wednesday is my last day as your local editor at Patch.

It's been great getting to know you all while covering Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Burr Ridge and Western Springs during the last two years and nine months. I've learned a huge amount about how to find, report and promote the things that are important to a town, whether they're big and breaking, small and touching, or goofy and fun.

As my first full-time journalism job out of college, I will always remember this Patch experience of mine as one that laid the foundation for my career, wherever that career takes me.

I'm still around the Chicago area looking for my next challenge so I'd love to hear from any of you Patch loyalists any time. I can be reached at my personal email, joe.odonnell13@gmail.com, or here on Facebook.

Also, please keep using the sites. Post any events, news or opinions to Patch's blogsboards, and calendar. Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills, Western Springs and Burr Ridge are strong Patch communities and I look forward to watching the sites become more and more a part of the towns' fabric in the future.

Any inquiries regarding the sites going forward can be directed to Amie Schaenzer at amie.schaenzer@patch.com.

Thanks for all the fun, folks. Don't be a stranger.

Joe O'Donnell
