Moms Talk: What Should We Do For Easter?

Any suggestions for the Gilbert household's first Easter in Clarendon Hills?

Kristi's question: What should we do for Easter with Ava? It's her (and our) first one in Clarendon Hills. Any ideas?

This weekend is Easter Sunday, and unfortunately, we missed the Clarendon Hills Park District Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday, due to our being out of town. Lucky for us, the Katherine Legge Memorial Park and Lodge is hosting a "Bunny Breakfast" this Saturday (April 23) from 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. The event includes a continental breakfast, followed by an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. We might hop by for that.

Otherwise, I suppose if we could forego the Bunny Breakfast, and have our own little Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard. I did buy 2 PAAS kits; now I just need to hunt down a few dozen eggs. This will be my first year dyeing eggs as a Mom; last year she was a bit too young. I am already anticipating looking at tiny green fingers for the next few months. 

And there is always the option to take her to visit the Easter Bunny at a local mall—which I never really understood. It's not like Christmas where she's telling the Bunny what she wants and convincing him that she's been a good girl...
