Hinsdale Plans Full Day of Fourth of July Fun

Your guide to Hinsdale Fourth of July events from parades to turtle races.


The Village of Hinsdale has a robust day of events scheduled for the Fourth of July, starting with the Independence Day Parade.

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. July 4 from Sixth Street and Garfield headed north to First Street, continue West to Grant Street, head south on Grant and end at Sixth and Grant Street.

After the parade, head over to Burlington Park at 19 E. Chicago Ave. for the Family Festival that starts at 11 a.m., featuring an arts and crafts show with over 100 vendors, along with kids’ activities and the Hinsdale Rotary turtle races. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Scheduled events July 4th include:


  • 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Family Fest kids’ activities including face painting, table top carnival games and inflatables. FREE.

  • 11 a.m. - Come experience the eighth annual Hinsdale Rotary Turtle Race immediately after the parade. Come and compete or watch the races. Over 20 trophies will be awarded.

  • 1 p.m. - West Suburban Band Concert


  • Admission to all Independence Day events is FREE.
