Polar Express Trip - Clarendon Hills

The Clarendon Hills Park District's annual "Polar Express" train trip to the North Pole (Aurora train station) will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.  This holiday excursion is based on the popular children's book of the same name by author Chris Van Allsburg.  "Polar Express" travelers are asked to meet at the Clarendon Hills Train Station (north side of the track) to prepare for boarding.  A professional storyteller will be on hand to share the story of the "Polar Express."  Santa Claus will be on hand at the Aurora Train station and will present each child on the train with a special bell.  As an added treat, Santa will then board the train for the return trip to Clarendon Hills.  Holiday cookies and hot chocolate will be served along the way!  There is a $20.00 per person charge for this memorable adventure -- Clarendon Hills residents only, please!  (Babies 12 months of age and younger ride for free.)  A limited number of tickets remain on sale at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 Chicago Avenue. This event is a sellout every year, so please purchase your tickets early!
