Classic Cars Returns to Downtown Downers Grove May 16

Summer Nights Classic Cars kick off season with celebration of Mustang's 50th anniversary. Shows run every Friday night throughout summer.


Summer Nights Classic Cars returns to downtown Downers Grove on Friday nights throughout the summer from 6 to 9 p.m. starting May 16.

The season kicks with a 50th anniversary celebration of the Mustang. This free, family-friendly evening features live entertainment by the Saracens Band (1960s and 1970s rock) at the Main Street train station from 7 to 9 p.m.

Each Friday night an array of cars will line Main Street between Maple and Franklin in beautiful downtown Downers Grove.

All Classic Cars are welcome on Main Street throughout the summer. Featured cars will be on Curtiss Street. Featured cars must be pre-1985. A trophy will be awarded to the “best” featured car each week.

Oogling the muscle cars and Corvettes is free, but while you’re downtown, enjoy shopping and dining in Downers Grove’s boutiques and restaurants.

The 22nd annual Classic Car Show nights are hosted by the Downers Grove Downtown Management Corporation, and sponsored by PUGI Mazda, Hyundai, Volkswagen and the Downers Grove Visitors Bureau.

Classic Cars runs from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday night through August 29 (except for June 20 and July 4).  For a full schedule of the Classic Car Show please visit the Downtown Downers Grove website.
