'Great Turnout' for Abbey Bott Vigil in Clarendon Hills

The vigil for the Clarendon Hills 18-year-old who died earlier this month was held Friday night in Prospect Park.

A vigil for Abbey Bott was held Friday night at Prospect Park in Clarendon Hills.

Dani Anthony, a friend of Bott's, emailed the above pictures from the vigil along with a message that included the following excerpt:

"Last night we gathered in Prospect Park to share stories of Abbey and wrote letters to Abbey and the Bott family of good memories and for support. Everyone was invited to go in the middle and share a nice memory or story about Abbey to show an impact she made on them, or just a fond story that they enjoy about her. [More than 150] people showed up and it was a great turnout! There were at least 35 people [who went] in the middle to share their story. Olivia Bott really enjoyed hearing all the nice stories about her twin sister. It started around 8:15 and we closed up with a moment of silence and prayer for Abbey."
