Standard Market’s Spring Into Spring Family Event Features Live Chef Demonstrations, Petting Zoo, Balloon Artist, and Face Painting

Join Standard Market from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, for an afternoon of fun to celebrate Spring’s arrival and the seasonal food that it brings. Standard Market invites attendees to learn from a variety of its talented chefs with live demonstrations that range from making prosciutto wrapped asparagus with raspberry reduction to butchering a whole lamb. There is fun for the whole family too—including a petting zoo, balloon artist, and face painting.

 

Live Chef Demonstrations include:
1 pm: Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus with Raspberry Reduction (Tom Nendick from the Farmer’s Market)
1:30pm: Edamame & Mint Pesto Fettuccine with Olive Oil Poached Tomatoes and Goat Cheese (Corporate Chef Brian Wright)
2 pm: Spring Cheese Showcase (CUBE Chef de Cuisine Pat McCroy)
2:30pm: Spring Thai Salad with Crab and Mango (Chef Lora Sendik)
3 pm: Olive Oil Poached Halibut with Spring Quinoa Salad (Executive Chef Patrick Cassata from Bakersfield)
3:30pm: Whole Lamb Butchering (Ben Harrison from the Butcher Shop)
