D181 Students Have Tuesday Off: What to Do?

Patch gives you the scoop on what's happening today in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills.

Tuesday is an institute day for District 181 staff, meaning students have (another) day off.

Patch has a pair of ideas for those parents who want to get their little ones out of the house:

American Red Cross Babysitter's Certification, 10 a.m. at Hinsdale Youth Center: "If you’re 11 to 15 years old, you can get the knowledge, skill, and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; safety and safe play; and first aid." More info on event listing here.

Star Wars Party, 1 p.m. at Clarendon Hills Park District: "The Clarendon Hills Park District will host a Star Wars Party from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue.  This program, designed for boys and girls ages 4-8. is a wonderful way to celebrate the upcoming school holiday.  Children will participate in a one-of-a-kind Star Wars themed training class, and will enjoy games and other fun activities." More info on event listing here.
