Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Tradition Continues For 22nd Year
The DuPage Interfaith Resource Network will hold its 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Service on Monday, November 19th at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. Procopius Abbey in Lisle.
The service will include participation from a wide range of religions: Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Sikhs and Baha’i.
Rabbi Steven M. Bob, chair of the DuPage Interfaith Resource Network and Senior Rabbi at Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard, points out that the mission of the DuPage Interfaith Resource Network is to promote understanding between religious communities.
“Our differences are what bind us together,” says Rabbi Bob. “When we gather in friendship to hearing the prayers of other religions, we are proclaiming a common message of gratitude.”
St. Procopius Abbey is located at the intersection of Maple and College in Lisle. All are welcome to attend the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. There is no charge for admission.
For more information, contact the office of Congregation Etz Chaim at 630-627-3912.
