IL POGGIOLO DECEMBER WINE DINNER
Il Poggiolo in Downtown Hinsdale will host a seasonal wine dinner featuring fine Italian wines from Minu Imports, Inc., on Sunday, December 9. For $80 per person, guests will enjoy a five-course dinner with selected wine pairings. The dinner will be hosted by Chiara Adobati of Minu Imports. Featured menu items include braised wild boar ragu in a Chianti sauce served with handmade tagliatelle; grilled filet mignon with creamy polenta and wild mushrooms, and more. STARTER: Smoked salmon on a toasted point, finished with a garlic aioli. Paired with Valdobbiadene Extra Dry Prosecco Superiore DOCG
FIRST COURSE: Sliced Italian Meats and artisanal cheeses . Paired with Le Marne Monferrato Rosso DOC 2007
SECOND COURSE: Braised wild boar ragu in a Chianti sauce served with handmade tagliatelle. Paired with Chianti Classico DOCG 2007
THIRD COURSE: Grilled Filet Mignon with creamy polenta and wild mushrooms topped with a veal demi glaze. Paired with Trabuch Langhe Rosso DOC 2009
