Adventures in Vegetarian Cooking presents its 5th Annual Holiday Banquet and Health Seminar on Sunday, November 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church, 201 N. Oak Street. The program will begin with a FRee screening of the movie, “Engine 2 Kitchen Rescue,” followed by demonstrations of
tasty and healthy foods for the holiday table.
In the movie, Rip Esselstyn, Former Texas firefighter and best-selling author, teaches the White and Wall families the basics of a whole food, plant-based diet. Step by step, Rip guides these families on how to take control of their own health, from making tantalizing, plant-strong dishes to navigating the grocery store aisles.
Demonstrations of vegetarian menu ideas for the holidays will be followed by a buffet banquet of healthy holiday dishes. Recipes will be provided. To register, email healthministry@gmail.com or call 630-323-0182.
