More About Village of Clarendon Hills
Clarendon Hills is called the "Village of Volunteers," because it was the efforts of volunteers that made many of the major accomplishments for the village possible.
Founded 86 years ago, Clarendon Hills began as a country getaway for Chicago residents. Today, the village has about 8,300 residents. Several Blue Ribbon schools are located within the school districts of 181 (elementary and middle schools) and 86 (high school). According to U.S. census data, 65 percent of Clarendon Hills' residents have a bachelor's degree or higher.
The Village offers free Wi-Fi in the central business district. Anyone can access the network named "Clarendon Hills Wireless" for 45 minutes at a time, by entering in the username "public" and the password "access1" or the username "public1" and the password "access2."
