DESCRIPTION:Ages 6-12.&nbsp\;Students will study how an artist must consi
 der the weight of material and the force of gravity to create balance an
 d movement in a sculpture. They will then create&nbsp\;dynamic and excit
 ing sculptures using wire and Dura Lar.&nbsp\; In this course students w
 ill design and make a series of wire sculptures that illustrate a variet
 y of different subject matter in motion. Using the Dura Lar students wil
 l create abstract mobiles that gently move. We will look at animals and 
 figures as inspiration for our figurative and abstract work.
