Thefts of gas—No sooner do gas prices start to soar, Hinsdale police report two thefts of gas. The first incident was reported March 6. A man said that gas was siphoned from the tank of his vehicle sometime between 7 a.m. March 4 and 7:30 a.m. March 6 while it was parked on the 5500 block of Madison. The victim, who said his gas tank was unlocked, estimates that 18 gallons of gas worth $65 was taken.
