A Month to Remember for the Markets
October was the best month in nine years for stocks which advanced 9.5% for the month. The total point gain of 1,041 was the largest monthly history. This historic move was actually tempered by a significant selloff on the last day of 276 points. Stocks ended a huge October move on a negative note.
