Vehicle Drives Through Yard, Hits Tree
Hinsdale police arrest driver for driving under the influence.
Driving Under the Influence - On Oct. 12, Hinsdale police responded to a report of a vehicle driving through a yard in the 200 Block of Meadowbrook Lane and striking a tree. Officers found the vehicle traveling in the area of 55th and Washington Streets. They stopped the driver, Jennifer C. Steel, 47, of 120 E. 58th Street in Hinsdale for improper lane use. Her vehicle had a shattered window and tree fragments on it. Steel submitted to a breath test that showed a blood alcohol content of .08 or more. At 2:18 p.m. on Oct. 12, she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, improper lane use and leaving the scene of an accident. She was charged and released to appear in court.
Driving under the influence of—Alcohol
Javier Boliver, 26, of 2414 W Lk in Melrose, was arrested on Oct. 3. Boliver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper parking on roadway, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of Cannibis.
Officers responded to a report of a man that was passed out in a car in the area of the 700 North Block of Justina. Officers found that the man was under the influence of alcohol. He was found in possession of open alcohol containers. The suspect also was found in possession of a green leafy substances, which field tested positive for Cannibas. The suspect refused to submit to a breath test. The suspect was charged and released to appear in court.
Criminal damage to motor vehicle - Sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 11:10 a.m. on Oct. 4, someone broke the front passenger window of a 2002 Buick Rendevous while it was parked unoccupied on the 300 Block of West 59th Street.
Criminal trespass to motor vehicle - Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 7, someone entered an unlocked Subaru while it was parked in a driveway on the 10 Block of Ulm Place. Nothing was taken, according to the Subaru's owner.
Credit card fraud - Sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 19, someone stole the credit card of a woman on the 10 Block of County Line Road and spent $7.52 on iTunes.
Hit and run accident - A 16-year-old from Westmont was arrested for backing into a parked car at 5600 S Grant Street on Oct. 7 at 5:55 a.m. He did not stay to report the accident. He was arrested and charged with failure to give information after striking an unattended motor vehicle.
Criminal trespass to motor vehicle - Sometime between 12 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 7:25 a.m. on Oct. 8, someone entered a Ford Explorer that was parked on the 10 Block of Ulm Place. The victim said that nothing was taken from the Explorer to his knowledge.
Theft under $300 - Sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 8, someone stole a men's Trek Mountain Bike from an alley on the 10 Block of East Hinsdale Ave. The value of the bike is $150.
Driving Under the Influence - On Oct. 8, Oscar Carrillo-Lianos, 32, of 134 E. Maple Street in Hinsdale was stopped for improper lane usage and having a defective tail light. He refused to submit to a breath test. Carrillo-Lianos was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, not having a valid driver's license, improper lane usage, disobeying a stop sign and having a defective tail light. He was charged and released with a court date.
Driving Under the Influence - At 9:27 p.m. on Oct. 9, Shawn L. Sullivan, 40, of 1311 Colorado Ave. in Joliet, was stopped for speeding and driving in the wrong lane on the 700 Block of East Chicago Ave. He refused to submit to a breath test. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving in the wrong lane, speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having an expired registration. Sullivan was released with a court date.
Possession of Cannabis - At 3:07 a.m. on Oct. 10, Francis P. Jacquest, 50, of 476 King Arthur Way in Bolingbrook was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The arrest happened on the 600 Block of Justina. Jacquest was found to be in possession of a green, leafy substance, which field tested positive for Cannibis. He also was found in possession of a pipe commonly used to ingest Cannibas. He was charged and released on bond for the outstanding warrants and issued a court date for the pending offenses.
Criminal damage to property - Sometime between 10 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 10:52 a.m. on Oct. 10, someone threw a brick through a man's window on the 10 Block of Charleston Road.
