Tonight's Uniquely Thursday concert in Burlington Park has been canceled due to excessive heat, Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce executive director Jan Anderson said.

With temperatures expected to reach triple digits Thursday afternoon, Anderson said it's not worth risking the health of attendees.

"It’s just too much out there now and the risk is greater than the enjoyment," she said.

The Chamber made the decision along with the Uniquely Thursday Committee. Anderson said they had been thinking about canceling since Tuesday. 

It has not yet been determined if tonight's concert will be rescheduled. Denny Diamond, a Neil Diamond tribute artist, was set to perform.
