Groundhog Day Morning Report: Sunny Skies, High of 48
The weekend is close; get one day closer with these important items from Patch.
1. There will be patchy fog before 9 a.m. Thursday before skies clear and the high reaches 48 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy and the low will drop to 31 degrees.
2. Be very thankful for the mild and precipitation-free weather Thursday. On this day in 2011, Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills were digging themselves out of "Snowmageddon," which dropped more than 20 inches of snow around Chicagoland. The Chicago Tribune took a stroll down bad memory lane Wednesday.
3. All Wined Up's weekly Wine Tasting takes place Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its 27 S. Prospect Ave. location. On this night, a guest pourer from Julienne Importing will pour French wines.
4. This morning on Patch is a look at the finalized District 181 calendar for the 2012-13 school year. The board also discussed whether or not Good Friday should be a day off.
5. Nothing scheduled for Thursday in Hinsdale Central Red Devils sports.
