$1K Bike Stolen, Student Caught After Cafeteria Fraud: Police Blotter

School's Bushes Missing
Someone removed two bushes planted near the Hinsdale Middle School exterior sign at 100 S. Garfield Ave. between 4 p.m. Saturday and 3:18 p.m. Sunday, police said.
The bushes were valued at a combined $100.
$1K Bike Nabbed
Someone stole a $1,000 road bike from an open garage in the 10 block of South Monroe Street between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., police said.
Nobody was home during the above timeframe, though the garage door was left open, so no forced entry was made.
Cafeteria Crime
A 15-year-old boy from Hinsdale was charged with theft after police say he made $150 in unauthorized cafeteria purchases at Hinsdale Central High School with a student ID that didn’t belong to him at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 12.
The incident was reported on Nov. 27. The juvenile was charged and released to a parent.
