Although many people in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills will be staying at home with their families this Christmas Day, some will opt to go out and spend the holidays in a unique way. Here are several locales that are open on Christmas.

1. New Yolk New Yolk

If your family tends to wake up early on Christmas morning, you may want to take them out for a big breakfast after all of the presents are opened. New Yolk New Yolk, which is located at 29 E. First Street in the old Embrace building, will be open from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Christmas Day. 2. Starbucks Coffee  in Clarendon Hills

This Starbucks is the perfect place to stop in and warm up on a Christmas morning walk through downtown Clarendon Hills. If you're spending the holidays in the city, the Starbucks at 33 S. Washington is the perfect place to grab a hot chocolate before you board the train this Christmas. For early risers, this location opens at 6:30am, and closes at 4pm. 

4. Blockbuster in Hinsdale

If you want to watch a holiday movie after dinner this Christmas, swing by the Blockbuster at 30 S. Lincoln. The store will be open for shopping from noon - 10pm, but you can return DVDs any time. 5. BP Gas Station in Hinsdale

Before you get on 294 to travel to grandma's house, be sure to fill up your tank at the BP Gas Station on Ogden. Located at 149 E. Ogden, the station offers all of its regular services - self-service filling, air pump, convenience store - on Christmas Day. And don't worry if you make it a late night; the BP is open for business 24 hours a day. 

6. Shell Gas Station and Food Mart in Hinsdale

If you need last-minute additions to your Christmas dinner, stop in at the Shell, 210 E. Ogden Avenue. In addition to the filling station, the 24-hour Shell has grocery items and even a liquor selection. 

7. Mobil Gas Station in Hinsdale

Those close to downtown Hinsdale might not want to go far to fill up their vehicles. Thankfully, the 24-hour Mobil station will be open on Christmas for customers looking to fill up their tires or put gas in the tank. Don't forget the convenience store inside for last-minute stocking stuffers!

8. McDonald's at the Hinsdale Oasis

If, like Santa, you're traveling this Christmas, remember to hit the Hinsdale Oasis McDonald's. The fast food restaurant at 5800 Hinsdale Oasis Rd. #294 has a drive thru, and customers can pick up food 24 hours a day. Even Mr. Claus couldn't pass up a late-night Big Mac!

9. Dunkin' Donuts in Hinsdale

If your stocking doesn't provide quite enough treats this year, this 24-hour Dunkin' Donuts at 150 E. Ogden can accommodate even the most tireless sweet tooth. Grab a dozen donuts to go - they'll be sure to hold you over until Christmas dinner.

10. Katherine Legge Memorial Park Dog Walk in Hinsdale

Even though you might be eager to relax this holiday, chances are your four-legged friends will still want to get in a Christmas walk. The dog walk at KLM, which is located at 5901 S. County Line Road, is open from 5am - 10am, then again from 5pm - 10 pm. Make sure to keep your pets close to you - they'll certainly be eager to run through the snow on KLM's expansive grounds.
