Student 'Kill List' Rumor Unfounded, Dad Opposed to Sex-Heavy Movies Runs for Board: Week in Review

1. Rumor About Student Bringing Gun and 'Kill List' to School Not True: Clarendon Hills Police Chief Ted Jenkins said his department got about a dozen calls over the weekend from concerned parents in the wake of the Newtown, CT, school shooting.

2. Dad Who Fought Sex-Heavy Movies in School Running for D86 Board: Three of the four current members up for re-election filed their papers to run in April along with three challengers, two of whom have names you may recognize.

3. Downers Grove Teen Charged in Hinsdale Home Burglary: The Downers Grove resident was found with a ring that was reported stolen during a timeframe in which she was was inside the Madison Street home.

4. Police-Seized Porsche Sold on eBay for $33,000: Clarendon Hills Police Chief Ted Jenkins said the amount is the most the department has received for a seized vehicle in his time.

5. Downtown Ice Rink Planned for Vacant Lot: The rink would be a temporary use for 1923 Walker Ave., though an extended cold-weather streak is needed first.
